Indian cricketers’ to ‘Masterstroke’ premium sports apparel brands

The cricket is considered as one of the biggest religion in India. Indian cricketers known for their charisma and hard-hitting attitude in arena to ‘pad-up’ for the active sports apparel brands in India.
We all know, Harbhajan Singh ‘Bhajji’, master of doosra in cricketing world, has started his sports apparel Bhajji Sports, which sponsored Punjab team in Ranji season.
The hard hitter captain wicketkeeper Captain MS Dhoni roped in by active lifestyle brand ‘Seven’ as global brand ambassador. It is the brand of Rhiti sports, a sports marketing and celebrity management firm. The seven is jersey number of MSD and brand will be promoted in footwear, leisurewear and sports apparel.
Dhoni will have a licensing agreement with the company. The company will get merchandise contract manufactured in India, China and Vietnam to begin with.
Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan becomes the brand ambassador of Tennis sensation Mahesh Bhupati’s brainchild sports apparel brand ‘Zeven’.
Bhupathi, along with former Nike Country Manager South Asia Hemchandra Javeri, will focus on building Zeven as a multi-sport, multi-product and multi-channel brand in India, according to PTI.
"With Zeven, we want to build a sports community in the country where people can play, discuss and live sports. We will offer the best products at affordable prices, tailor made for India. We are starting with footwear and apparel and will expand in the coming months across sports and range," Zeven Co-Founder and Chairman Javeri.
The company will start selling these products (priced Rs 1,900 onwards) through its own portal and is in discussions with other marketplaces to expand its reach.
This sport has covered a long distance in India and essential part of our lives. The face value of Indian cricketers is visible in promotional advertisements of leading brands.
German sportswear biggie Adidas has celebrated with Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, and VIrat Kohli to name a few.
