Viber’s public chat platform to thrust Startups in India

In effort to perk up visibility and capturing emerging trend of messaging, Viber, has propelled its public chat system to help out startups in India. The fledgling businesses like Zopper, ObiNo, Vuclip, Lootore and KhauGaliDeals are among the startups that are connected to Viber Public Chats, allow users for multitasking follow, comment and conversation streams of celebrities and brands.
The messaging platform will help the startups to connect with new people around the globe. “In a world run by social media platforms, it is imperative to leverage platforms such as public chats for a more targeted approach,” said Anubhav Nayyar, regional head at Viber South Asia, told to media.

Messaging venture Viber Public Chats, emerged in 2014, has more than 48-million users in India. He added ,"In a world run by social media platforms, it is imperative to leverage platforms such as public chats for a more targeted approach."
The trend of online messaging has emerged after user friendly messenger players WhatsApp and LINE so far has thriving journey, but lacking on dedicated public chats for celebrities or brands.
The public chat have changed the dimension of bridging the gap between target audience and startups have sensed the value of using public chats that allow them to reach out to deep in territories.
Foodtech startup KhauGaliDeals is riding with Viber Public Chats to inflate its registered user base, which currently stands at 6 lakh, by entering into 25 more cities.
